Zirconia and the magnet

Zirconia is a hard ceramic — it does not scratch or take on flavour the way a plastic mouthpiece can. The magnetic mount is the part that gets worn: a mouthpiece that has been pulled off a few thousand times eventually stops seating cleanly, and that is when the assembly rather than the screen needs replacing.
