How does a glow in the dark waterpipe work? Luminous pigment is worked into the glass or into the surface decoration. It absorbs light while the room is lit and releases it slowly once the lights go off.
Do I need to charge the glow? Yes. Leave the piece under a bright lamp or in daylight for a few minutes and the glow will build up. It fades as it discharges and can be charged again as often as you like.
Will cleaning stop it glowing? Normal washing in warm water and dish soap will not affect pigment set into the glass. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents on painted outer patterns, and clean the inside as usual.
What shapes and sizes are in the glow range? Seven pieces from 17cm to 28cm, including beaker base and straight tube bodies. Patterns in the titles include a ghostly web, tree roots, a spider and an angry gorilla.
