What is a straight base waterpipe? It is a tube of even diameter from the mouthpiece down to a flat foot, with no widened chamber at the bottom. The water sits in the bottom of the tube itself.
Should I get a straight tube or a beaker base? A beaker holds more water low down and has a wider footprint, while a straight tube takes less bench width and shows the water level clearly. Straight tubes also empty and rinse more quickly.
How tall do the straight base waterpipes get? Heights are given at the end of each title and run from about 15cm up to 46cm here. Taller tubes leave room for an ice catcher or a stacked percolator, which 18 of the titles list.
