Price Beat Promise

We work hard to be the lowest-priced stockist in New Zealand for everything we sell. We check our pricing against other New Zealand retailers regularly — but with thousands of products and prices that move constantly, a competitor will occasionally undercut us before we notice.

If that happens, tell us and we will beat their price by 5%.

How to claim

  1. Find the same product, in stock, advertised for less by another New Zealand retailer.
  2. Email support@greenhut.co.nz with a link to the competitor's product page, or a clear screenshot showing the product and the price.
  3. We will confirm the price and, if it checks out, beat it by 5%.

What we need it to be

  • The same product — same brand, same model, same size or capacity. Not a similar item or an older model.
  • In stock and available to buy at the competitor at the time of your claim.
  • A New Zealand retailer with a New Zealand website, selling in NZD, shipping within New Zealand.
  • A publicly advertised price that anyone could pay — not a member-only rate, a quoted price, or one behind a login.
  • Compared like for like — we look at the total delivered cost, so shipping charges on both sides count.

What is not covered

  • Auction sites, marketplace listings and private sellers (including Trade Me listings from private sellers).
  • Clearance, liquidation, ex-display, seconds, damaged or grey-import stock.
  • Bundle or multi-buy pricing, unless you are comparing the identical bundle.
  • Pricing errors, and prices we reasonably believe are not genuine.
  • Overseas retailers, including Australian sites that ship to New Zealand.
  • Products we do not stock, or that are out of stock with us.

The fine print

  • Claims can be made before you order, or within 7 days of your order, in which case we refund the difference plus 5%.
  • One claim per product, per customer.
  • We may decline a claim where the competitor's price is below our own cost.
  • We may change or withdraw this offer at any time. Any claim already accepted will be honoured.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
