How does a 3 piece grinder work?

A three-piece grinder has a toothed lid and chamber that break the herb down, and a mesh screen at the base of that chamber. Finer particles fall through the screen into a separate collection chamber underneath, so you get ground herb in one section and sifted pollen in the other.
