Why the wall thickness matters
A 2 mm wall is heavy for 12 mm tube. It takes longer to bring up to working temperature than thin-wall stock and it is far more durable once formed — which is why this specification is the common one for pieces that get handled rather than displayed.

We also stock the same 12 mm x 2 mm specification in 30 cm. Take the 50 cm if you would rather cut down than run short.
