When you need one
A heater that no longer reaches temperature, cycles inconsistently, or fails to hold a set point is usually at end of life. Because the rest of a VLeaF GO — battery, housing, cap, mouthpiece — typically outlasts the element, replacing the heater is the difference between keeping a working device and buying a new one.
Fitting note
Work on a cold unit. Ceramic elements are brittle at the edges; handle the new one by the housing rather than the ceramic face.
