What the VENTY is

The VENTY is the flagship portable dry-herb vaporizer from Storz & Bickel, the German manufacturer behind the Volcano. Two things separate it from everything else in the range: it is the first S&B portable with airflow you can adjust by hand, and it is the fastest device the company has built, reaching temperature in roughly 20 seconds. Everything below is the detail underneath those two facts.

How it is built

The heater. The VENTY uses a redesigned mini-heater that combines convection (hot air drawn through the material) with conduction (heat conducted from the chamber walls). A flowmeter reads the negative pressure of your draw and adjusts the heating to match it, so a light pull and a hard pull land in a similar place rather than one running cold.

The airflow control. A slider on the body opens the air path up to 20 litres per minute at its widest setting — the highest airflow Storz & Bickel have put in a portable. Closing it down gives a tighter, more restricted draw. This is a mechanical adjustment, not a software one.

The cooling unit. Higher airflow needs more cooling, so the VENTY's cooling unit routes vapour through a two-level path to lengthen the journey before it reaches the mouthpiece. The housing is double-walled so it stays touchable at temperature, and it carries an additional screen. The whole unit unclips for cleaning and is a replaceable part.

The chamber and materials. The 1.4 cm³ filling chamber is hard-ceramic coated. The air path uses PEEK, a high-temperature engineering plastic that Storz & Bickel use throughout the range.

How you use it

Grind your dried botanical material and load the filling chamber, or drop in a pre-filled dosing capsule.
Set the target temperature anywhere between 40 °C and 210 °C using the buttons and the LC display on the device itself — no phone required.
Wait roughly 20 seconds for it to reach temperature.
Set the airflow slider where you want it, and draw.
Double-click for the Booster and Superbooster preset temperature steps when the chamber starts to thin out.

The S&B Web App connects over Bluetooth if you want to change the booster steps, display brightness, vibration and the ECO charging mode. It is optional — the device is fully operable without it. Who each one suits. The VENTY suits someone who wants the shortest possible wait and a draw they can tune by hand, and does not mind the tallest body of the three. The MIGHTY+ is the wider, flatter unit — it is the one to pick if grip and a proven design matter more than heat-up speed. The Crafty+ is the pocket option at 135 g, roughly half the weight of the other two, with fewer on-device controls. All three take the same dosing capsules and share the same temperature range, so the choice is about size, speed and control rather than what they do.

VENTY FAQ

How do I clean it?

The cooling unit unclips and comes apart so each piece can be cleaned individually, and a cleaning brush is supplied for the chamber. Screens and O-rings are consumables — when they stop sealing or start restricting airflow, replace them from the Wear and Tear Set rather than trying to clean them back to new. How does it charge, and do I need a special charger?

Charging is over USB-C and any USB-C source will charge it. The Supercharge figure Storz & Bickel publish — around 80% in 40 minutes — is measured with their own high-current power supply, which Greenhut sells as the USB-C Supercharger. A standard phone charger will work, just more slowly.

Can I use dosing capsules?

Yes. Storz & Bickel list their 40-piece Dosing Capsules among the VENTY's parts and accessories. The same capsules fit the MIGHTY+ and Crafty+, so if you already own one of those you can share a set. Greenhut stocks the 40-piece set.

Does the VENTY connect to a water pipe?

Not with a factory part. Storz & Bickel do not list a water-pipe adapter among the accessories they publish for the VENTY, and Greenhut does not stock one for it. The adapters in our range are made for other devices and are not interchangeable — if you want a water-filtered path, check the device you are buying it for first.

What is in the box?

Storz & Bickel supply the VENTY with a USB-C cable, a set of replacement screens and seal rings, a filling chamber tool and a cleaning brush. Exact quantities are listed in the instructions packed in the carton. Dosing capsules, spare cooling units and the USB-C Supercharger power supply are separate purchases.

How is warranty handled in New Zealand?

Greenhut's own Warranty & Refund Policy is the document that governs this. It states that vaporizers carry a three-month warranty from the date of purchase covering manufacturing defects only, that claims must be supported by proof of purchase, that faults caused by misuse or normal wear and tear are not covered, and that return shipping for a warranty claim is the customer's responsibility.
